[ It doesn't have the same sound as a snake. It's more throaty. ]

Right. Ah, no, I do not. But I had not seen or heard from you in some time, and I wished to see if you were well.

I'm good. [It's probably been nearly a year since Christine spoke to him last so he's not sure what he's meant to really say here.] Living. Working. With friends.

Good. I am glad to hear that.

[ It sounds about the same as her, and at least she knows now he hasn't gotten himself into a heap of trouble. ]

I had no wish to interrupt you and your, ah, foie gras, but merely wished to check in.

Right. Anything to do with- with Orzammar is with scouting. [Maybe that's what it is? Orlesians usually have manners and she was in a Circle, can't come right out and just ask for something.] Beleth'll have it.

[Because that seems the only thing he can think of because the people who want him just for him are precious few, and well you're a dwarf Yngvi, they all want something in the end. (Einar, that voice has never not sounded like Einar, being back in Kirkwall just made him remember the cadence better.)

And this is how it goes, how he lives: you did your bit dwarf, you know where the door is so go find it and close it behind you. Why shouldn't he feel bitter about that?

[ Why is he trying to pass her off to someone else? Is he trying to get rid of her? It strikes her very fast that he must have no desire to talk to her and wishes to be left alone. Oh. She doesn't know what she's done, or if perhaps he's just busy, but she won't cause him irritation by pushing for more conversation. ]
